The Museum Conservation Institute-Smithsonian Cultural Rescue Initiative (MCI-SCRI), along with the Virginia Museum of Natural History’s Cultural Heritage Monitoring Lab (CHML), Penn Cultural Heritage Center, Ukrainian Heritage Monitoring Lab, and the University of Maryland’s Center for International Development and Conflict Management (CIDCM), released a report on damage to cultural heritage sites in Ukraine caused by Russia’s attacks, specifically, damage in Melitopol, where large exterior crosses from the Melitopol Christian Church, Word of Life Church, and Grace Baptist Church were removed. One of the authors of the report is USCBS Board Member, Brian I. Daniels.
