UNESCO has called for an emergency session to establish urgent measures for the protection of Lebanese cultural sites. The session will take place on November 18th and follows a request from Lebanon’s minister of culture, Mohammed Al-Murtada, as archaeological sites, heritage buildings, and religious structures have all been affected by the recent airstrikes.

Details of the meeting can be found on UNESCO’s website, and more reporting on the situation can be found at The Art Newspaper.
